"Secure 2.0.37 Kernel Mod" is a patch that I created for the 2.0.37 kernel after hacking in the code from a few patches that were written for the 2.0.33 kernel. I did not write any of these mods, simply hacked them into place under the 2.0.37 kernel and mod'd the code slightly where need be. If you have a problem, do not mail me. I don't give a shit. I just created this patch. I am not tech support to help you.
With this kernel mod, you will add many more features/protection to your kernel including.
- 'Race Conditions Patch'
- Non-executable user stack area
- Don't follow links in /tmp
- Restricted /proc
- Improved securelevel support
- as well as a few others

INSTALLATION
Installation should be as simple as symlinking a "linux-2.0.37" dir to your 2.0.37 kernel source dir, copying the '2.0.37-secure.patch' file into the parent dir of the 'linux-2.0.37' dir and then doing a 'patch -p0 <secure.patch'.
Credits for writing the mods go out to:
Michal Zalewski, Krzysztoff G Baranowski, Solar Designer, and a few nameless.
